In the 70's Peterbilt was painting all the different types of engines, white but they could be found in the normal colors as well.

Let's say you're using Alpine Green for your 8V71 in the 352 Pete, you can order it from scalefinishes.com under Fleet Colors then Engine Colors... Just thought you'd be interested. But Peterbilt also had white engines. ;)

I've never used Scalefinishes' paints, but Testors Model Master Grun RLM 62 is a good match for the old Alpine Green. I used it here on a 8V71 for an American-LaFrance pumper:

I went to oh riley auto parts and got Detroit engine color engine color de1618 dupli-color but alpine green is the color. Go figure!! It looks good!!!! the rims look very nice :)
