Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 (edited) Wow that is some nice work on the cage and motor... Edited August 28, 2013 by DragLoKustomz619
krazyglu Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Off the car I was not to sure about the wheel's ,but they look pretty cool mocked up...the sizing and stance is spot on. I love this body style as a drag car.
flo9mr Posted August 28, 2013 Author Posted August 28, 2013 thanks guys for the words of encouragement... i havent had much time to make progress but ill have some updates soon
DrKerry Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Haha thanks for being courious guys! Thank you for the wonderful build here!!! This is looking kool!!!!
Mooneyzs Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 This is coming along very nice. I am loving the chassis and where you are heading with it.
ScrappyJ Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 (edited) I was at the Orlando Dragway this weekend for the Pepe Loco vs. El Milde grudge match, but unfortunately (and I'm not kidding), my cousin's gas station in St. Thomas blew up. Since he was visiting, it wouldn't have been right to stay while this was going on. These 4-banngers are wicked. I do believe, though, that they must be running some level of Nitro Methane because when you hear the cars idling, you hear popping and I could be wrong, but as far as I know, most high-Octane race fuels, nor alcohol pops. As a matter of fact, they sound awfully similar to the in-line 4 cylinder motors in the top fuel bikes. I don't know if I'm allowed to post links, but if it is okay, enjoy: Edward- your 2jz is looking killer! Edited September 17, 2013 by ScrappyJ
DrKerry Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 That is wicked, thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!
flo9mr Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 scrappy thanks for the video! sorry to hear about your cousin, hope all is well... that was such a great match, they are both running 2jz's under the hood i dnt know what kind of fuel they run though... ive been slacking on the build, really want to get back on it just dont have t he time right now.
ScrappyJ Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Thanks for the thoughts, Edward! Everyone is okay. My primo's daughter is as little shaken and has a small 2nd degree burn. Considering the extension of t he explosion and t he heat associated with it, she is very lucky! Can't wait to see more on your project!
futurattraction Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 As several others have stated, I sort of floated over the top of this one. You've done some outstanding work on the chass and things are really working well together Edward. It sets really nice. Now that I know what this thread is, I'll be sure to pop in and see what you've been up to!
phantomw Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 That Corolla is looking killer. PS:I'll find out for you guys about the fuel, PEPE is going to be in Lakeland dragstrip in a few weeks, my best friend is the new owner of Orlando and Lakeland race tracks
