debaronFR Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 A legendary car in Europe, not so known in America, but a star in "The mentalist" TV serial this a monthly build, so need time... the finish model will be something like this: but you probably better know this one: big time on the engine: i also repainted parts, to be in a truelly color now i've finish dashboard, pictures quickly!
sjordan2 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I thought the only one was the Heller 1/16 ( also available as a convertible).
Harry P. Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I thought the only one was the Heller 1/16 ( also available as a convertible). I've never seen a 1/8 Citroen.
Cato Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I've never seen a 1/8 Citroen. There is a kit of the early car-the 1934 and later Traction Avant. Think Heller makes it.
Jouko Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Heller makes a 1/8 Citroen Traction Avant 15 SIX. http://www.cw-modell.de/HELLER-Citroen-15-Six-Traction-Avant-1-8 It has a straight 6 engine and you can built a 1949, 1951 or 1952 version of it. It has 1054 parts and I have one WIP. That DS 21 is a monthly build. You collect parts every month and then you build it. It's a metal model. http://www.altaya.fr/coleccionable/citroen-ds-21.html

Jouko Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Aha. Like the 1/8 James Bond Aston Martin from Goldfinger. Yes Sir!
sjordan2 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Yes Sir! That Aston is an amazing kit. More parts than a Pocher, and my math says it's about $1,275, if it's 85 monthly mailings at around 12 euros each. http://www.007db5.com/
Harry P. Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 There is a kit of the early car-the 1934 and later Traction Avant. Think Heller makes it. Yeah, that one I know. I've never seen a modern 1/8 Citroen. Sorry, I wasn't clear.

Although it does seem to make the model "affordable" and takes attention away from the real price!
Cato Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 . Sorry, I wasn't clear. That's from all the acid trips your avatar has taken. How about Prince Harry to clean up your act?
Chuck Kourouklis Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Man. At least the DB has a link to which you can appeal to have it eventually sent out of the UK, but I'd love that DS too...
sjordan2 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 The crazy part is, if there's one mailing of parts per month for 85 months, it will take 7 years to get all the parts. This is obviously not for Baby Boomers over 60.
Chuck Kourouklis Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I think the website says 85 weeks, mailed in monthly batches...
Jouko Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 And with same price you can get two new Pocher Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4.
Harry P. Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 That's from all the acid trips your avatar has taken. How about Prince Harry to clean up your act? Prince Harry to clean up my act???
crazyrichard Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 still confused here how to see this "build" ? the claimed repaint looks very similair to the kit color ?? not trying to be a ass here but ....
debaronFR Posted August 18, 2013 Author Posted August 18, 2013 (edited) Sorry all, i was away in vacations! so i'll try to answer: Heller made two kits of Traction in 1/8 scale, something quite crazy, and a DS 19 "cabriolet" in 1/16 scale (very hard to built). others was in 1/24. this kit will need around one year to be complet (4 sets per month) and will cost 1100 € (without bonus, 3 diecast miniatures) it's the Altaya edition kit, but it's Spanish Agostini manufacturer. about the repaint color, see this picture: light reflects make it lighter I received interior parts ( a seat and dashboard) pictures soon! Heller made only one kit of Traction Avant in 1/8 scale. It can be found in four different boxes, but the parts are all the same ones. DS 19 1/16 is not a Cabriolet, it has four doors and so it's a sedan. Edited August 19, 2013 by Jouko
Richard Bartrop Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Nifty, but I keep thinking they have to release a Cadillac at some point.

Try to google first a bit, Heller made 2 1/16 DS kits, one of them IS a convertible/cabriolet.
