I bought this Action Jeff Gordon Autolite "1989" Thunderbird diecast a while back with the intention of turning it into a 1988 Bill Elliott Championship car. The paint didn't turn out so good, so I decided to make a Mark Martin 1988 Stroh Light 'Tbird instead.

This where I'm at with it so far.

Carl, the paint is Duplicolor touch-up, Royal Blue Metallic from the local Auto Zone.

For decals, I've got the Racescale sheet that allows for building either the 1988 or 1989 "Stroh Light" or "Strohs Light" versions.

Earlier yesterday I spent time wet sanding and buffing out the paint.

I know the color is not accurate to the 1:1 car, I thought it would look better if it were closer to the color of the product on the shelf.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks Guys! for all the positive comments.

Racescale makes great decals, so that's a big help in getting great results.

If You all liked this Thunderbird, I hope You like the next one as well.
