wisdonm Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I haven't seen this posted anywhere. I must be slow, since I just learned of this site.Model Encyclopedia link Not only can you find old kits, you can read old magazines too. I think we should all contribute as much as we can. I know I will.
JunkPile Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 (edited) Thanks for the info. Why haven't you and I heard of this before? Oh yea, we're slow, I forgot. Looks like another place to spend way too much time. Thanks again Edited September 3, 2013 by JunkPile
southpier Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 the magazines are a real trove of hobby history.
blunc Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I may have posted a link to that site a while a go but it never hurts to refresh the link. some fascinating work from the glory days of manufacturer/supplier sponsored model contests. if you read through the comment/rant sections of those magazines it would seem that attitudes in the model car hobby aren't a whole lot different these days. you can even see some of Tim Boyd's early models.
Joker Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) Yup...got my info on a IMC /Union '48 Ford from that link a buddy posted on the H.A.M.B. (Thanks Ed) Edited September 3, 2013 by Joker
