Nice!

That last green Dodge van on the trailer looks like an old Bell Telephone truck.

Tim

Could have been.... it's a stripped umnit, just like Ma Bell would have used. Paul

That Dodge truck really suits the car transporter. I have the transporter and have never found a truck in my fleet that goes well with the transporter.

I only wish I had a Dodge L700 so my trailer could be connected.

A great build well done.

Cheers

I haven't built the L700 yet, but I intend to. What can you expect with the castings. The mounds are 40years old (give or take).

I just Started on mine. I spent the first night with a #11 blade cleaning flash off all the parts. So far the parts have gone together well, but I've only put the engine together so far.

I googled dodge trucks and also dodge L600 and found a few pics and catalog photos. The info seems few and far between. As for the flash... remember this tooling is 40 years old. Paul

And for just a little over $20 you can get a semi, trailer and a model car.

The car hauler looks nice, I like the colors you picked too.

When I first started with Ma Bell in 1996, my "assigned vehicle" (as the bosses call it) was a 1977 Chevy Van. It only had 21000 miles on it! It looked like it had been through a war though. I wouldn't be surprised if its still around somewhere. The heater didn't work and it only had an AM radio. There was no passenger seat anymore and I think there was a family of squirrels living in it.

When a/c became standard equipment on the vehicles they used, the company would pay extra to either remove it or have it disabled. Go figure.

Thanks guys, you found some that I have not. You're right, info on this truck has been more of a challenge than I'm used to.
