Kaleb Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Well it's that time of year again. This time were going to orlando. Rather suburb of it Kissimmee. Any shops in this area? We're possibly visiting Tampa and Cocoa beach as well. On different days of course.
Mach1revo Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Sorry Joshua not much in the Kissimmee area. Orlando has Colonial Photo and Hobby in downtown and a way overpriced Hobbytown in Sanford. There are a few others but the plastic selection is pretty limited. Mostly R/C planes and cars. Tampa has quite a few shops in the area. Look up House of Hobbies just outside Tampa. He has a pretty big selection of old kits. Can be pricey on some. Ralphs hobbies is a small shop south of tampa. He also has a lot of discontinued stuff and most new releases. Good prices too. And Phils hobbies is right by Ralphs. Worth stopping by if your in the area. Cocoa doesnt have any anymore that im aware of. Nearest would be a Hobbytown Usa in west Melbourne and Ernies hobbies in Melbourne. Ernies is a hole in the wall but he can have some good find as he buys collections every now and then but its a BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH shoot. Good luck and have fun!!
crazyjim Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Stop by the FAST meeting on Saturday morning at the Ocala Hobby Lobby.
Kaleb Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013 I would, it's all I can do to stop at any hobby shop lol. It's our anniversary week. I'll try and check them shops out. Thank you.
Skydime Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Funny you should mention that, I looked for a hobby shop the first time we took our daughter to Disney World...I came up with nada...except the Epcot Center Japan store inside Disney world. But who wants to pay almost $100 to walk LITERALLY all the way across Epcot center just for the ability to buy a kit? They mostly sell different Skyline kits and some others i cant remember. Although there is a Hobby Lobby in Daytona on the road that passes Daytona Motor Speedway on the way to the beach. It's in a plaza behind a Burger King. And there is a hobby shop in Myrtle Beach, SC if you ever vacation there.
