Terry Sumner Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Some of you may remember that my younger brother is the driver of the big rig for Marsh Racing/Team Whelen #31 Corvette in the GrandAm series. And he is the man in charge of all things fuel related for the car and is on the pit crew as the fuel guy. Well tomorrow is the last race of the year and it's at Lime Rock here in Connecticut. And my son and I get to go and be a part of the crew for the day. We actually get to be on pit road with the whole pit crew too. It's a really cool day! Weather is supposed to be perfectly clear and 74 degrees. I will be bringing my camera and I'll post some photos in the next few days after we get back! And the best part is I'm feeling much better after my cancer surgery 4 weeks ago so it should be a blast!
Danno Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Rock on, Terry!! Sounds like a fabulous day ahead. Enjoy, and be sure to share some pix.
o-man Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Enjoy! I'm sure you will have a blast! Hope to be tuned in at noon on Sunday for the race
signguy2108 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Sounds like the perfect therapy! Enjoy..
Rob Hall Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Sounds fun..wish I was there. Sadly, it looks like the new United Sports Car Racing Series doesn't have Lime Rock or Mid-Ohio on the schedule next year. I'll probably go to Long Beach next year (same weekend as the Long Beach Indy Car race I go to) and Laguna Seca. I wouldn't mind going to Watkins Glen since it's my birthday weekend next year. http://unitedsportscar.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/IMSA_TUDOR_2014-Schedule.pdf
