Well between the adverts & the photos, it tells you that the engine is a Cat 3306, Fuller transmission, Rockwell transfer case, Hendrickson walking beam rear suspension. The front axle appears to be a 18K Marmon-Harrington, but any US type could be substituted. The frame rails are most likely a standard Autocar 10" channel rail. you have a side view drawing with dimensions. 20" super single tires all around on the original. The wrecker version, newer fatter radial types.

Hi Richard!

Thank you very much!

I understand that the subject is uncommon, but may be anybody somewhere have photos of the chassis of this monster? Pictures could be very usefull in scratchbuilding.

Regards, Sergey

I have an autocar book somewhere, not sure if it has anything that would help you out, but it may be worth looking into. It's one of those photographic history books. You might also try the american truck historical society. You might also try getting the number from the truck you posted the picture of and contacting them, its a long shot, but cant hurt.

Man, that is one ugly duck. Looks like a twin-steer missing the front axle; what would be the purpose of such a configuration? Either way, some beautiful work!
