wagonmaster Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 You are driving along a country road after making what seems like a wrong turn or three. You see a ( insert model car here) peaking out of a barn. What would it be. Any kit built any way. like the 71 GTX with a hemi etc. Let's have some fun. Tim
ABC Auto Industry Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 I saw a Peterbilt 353. Are we allowed to see big rigs?
Frank Steffens Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 1970 Hemi Cuda, and the owner is selling it for $250.00 because it won't start. He seems to think the battery is dead. Then he mentions that there's a scratch on the right fender that's about 1/4 inch long. Being a decent, honest man, I inform the owner that the car is worth WAY more than what he's selling it for.... ...So I offer him $300.00 Then I wake up.
GMP440 Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 The 68' Coronet R/T. By the way, we almost had it reissued last June. Maybe with the Model King's help we can resurrect that one.
Aaronw Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 1941 Chevrolet pickup, being sold for the price the owner paid for it in 1941.
SnuzBox Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 A 1940 Ford Sedan, just waiting patiently inside a dry barn for me to happen upon.
PatRedmond Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 EXACT contents of the box including color on the box ? The Revell/Monogram 71 Hemi Cuda. Purple, 4 speed.... W00T !!!!!!
CAL Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 (edited) One of these... Too bad they're almost impossible to find, and it's probably not what you are thinking it is. Edited November 14, 2007 by CAL
Phil Patterson Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 The 68' Coronet R/T. By the way, we almost had it reissued last June. Maybe with the Model King's help we can resurrect that one. I thought that would have been updated to the 69 model? Though as the 59 Imperial reissue showed, all things are possible. I'd love to see the 69 Coronet R/T reissued, vert or hardtop, and the Mission Impossible stuff wouldn't bother me either, just open the gates and let the plastic flow!
Phil Patterson Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Oh, and just to answer the question asked, I'd like to find a 60 Plymouth Fury wagon just like the one in the JoHan kit and if it had the Sonoramic dual 4 barrel option that'd be even better! 2nd would be the 59 Dodge hardtop, also by Johan.
sinister Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 me, a 1969 Camaro SS w/396!!! Wow that would be nice. Or a 1968-69 Roadrunner.
bob paeth Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 It is my understanding that a citizen here in the Portland, Oregon area heard of an old chevy convertible that was in a garage at the rear of an old house. He knocked on the front door and asked the little old lady about the car. She told him she didn't know too much about it but thought it was a sports car or something. He looked inside, raced back to the LOL and offered to buy and made the deal. I have been told the amount paid was small in comparison to the worth of a....................................1954 Corvette. bob
RJWood Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 1962 Chevrolet Corvette.....with removable hardtop. and don't wake me up!
GMP440 Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Apparently, the 68 Coronet was found. However, it was supposedly missing the glass and bumpers.
