captin Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 thought that i would stick a turbo on somewhere so i cut off the cone filter stuck it between and plastic weld them together turned out pretty good i think..
ningoth4 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I like where you are headed with this! Kevin
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I really like the overall proportions on this, though I think you should raise the front of the body shell (at the firewall) just a tad.
Car Man Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 looks cool But one thing the turbo... is it running off the exhaust or is it a pro charger running off the belts? Because if it is a exhaust turbo you have to move it to a different place (ex) The way you have it set up the bad exhaust would go right in to the motor witch would be bad If you have it set up as a belt driven turbo (pro charger) it would not work ether (ex) If you have it set up as a pro charger nothing would come out the back so that would not work Other then that ... looks good
captin Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 Bill thanks for the advice on lifting the front of the body a tad i agree with you on that i think it will flow better if it is raised just a bit. and thanks for the crash course on the turbo Jeremy im not that mechanically inclined so i just stuck it where i thought it would look cool and i look up some pics. on Google of rat rods with turbos so i just went with it. I guess its a good thing its not going to run lol.
captin Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 this one is getting the Doctor Cranky treatment for sure!!!
captin Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 update on the t rat just got all the salting method done but much more watering to do. hope you like
captin Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 Here some updated pics of the progress on the T-rat. I've added a tailgail and some chains to complete the bed of the rat. i used a neckless that i bought at hobby lobby and some little hooks that were also in the jewelry section of hobby lobby. i also got the front radiator and front grill painted and add a hose from the radiator to a glass of radiator fluid that i found in my spar parts box. then just added some decals on the side of the body and sanded them down so it makes them look worn. hope you like
captin Posted December 20, 2013 Author Posted December 20, 2013 Thanks Riley! The decals were from the amt. 25 ford model T 3 n 1 kit.
wrecker388 Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Thanks Riley! The decals were from the amt. 25 ford model T 3 n 1 kit. Just another reason for me to get that kit, lol.
crazyrichard Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 i really really like it all the weathered parts look awsome ..one question though ? are you going to give the green steelies a wash ? because at this point they stick out and look very toy like ..not ment badly but the rest is all chipped and weathered those steelies need more depth and ...
