Johnb43 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Hey guys. does anyone know what this is? the window setup is confusing me. My buddy found it in the woods in maine. this is the only picture I have
Rob Hall Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 (edited) Looks like maybe a cab from a crane or other construction equipment. Nice patina. Kind of reminds me of something from a steam shovel. Edited October 15, 2013 by Rob Hall
Johnb43 Posted October 15, 2013 Author Posted October 15, 2013 Yeah I was thinking a tractor maybe but then when I saw how wide it was I think maybe some other kind of construction vehicle
olsbooks Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Rail motor car/track speeder I am almost certain. Lots of neat history on these things and collectors. Fairmont was the biggest builder. They had a bunch of different styles some looking very much like American LaFrance fire trucks and others like a butchered K100. Being in Maine, it might have wandered over from Canadian National (Central Vermont) RR which had oodles of these with big enclosed cabs like this. But...I could be wrong..... Neat find!
Johnb43 Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 Wow, thanks for the responses guys. I cant find the exact model, but it does seem to be a speeder. I would love to get it and build a garden in/around it. If only I were in Maine. Thanks again guys!
Greg Wann Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 (edited) it's a henway. HMMMMM.....I don't think it is a henway. I think it is a really rare Cowsay. Edited October 16, 2013 by Greg Wann
