vwdave92 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Hey all. I've been away for awhile. Partially not building and partially because this kit had me stumped 100 way to Sunday. This is the old Testors release of the Miura Jota that originally had an electric motor. As such there is room for a switch battery, gear drive and small electric motor (all no longer supplied). Additionally the kit has ONLY the basic engine top, valve covers, throttle bodies and injector stacks. The problem is the engine is REALLY visible when the back is open. So most of what you see is scratched and worked down from ref pictures. I'm pretty happy with the finished product even if the fit of the doors when closed is nightmarish. So here goes. Hope the pictures aren't too big...
Kennyboy Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 (edited) Very nice work on a nightmare of a kit Dave. The scratchwork is VERY impressive! The Miura is quite probably the sexiest Lambo they ever built! Edited October 20, 2013 by Kennyboy
The70judgeman Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Not really the biggest fan of early Lambo's, but you did some justice to this kit. Great color and it's like glass.
Scuderia Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 That's a beautiful lambo, great handywork on that engine too!
Art Laski Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Nice job, Dave. Looks like you as good as could be done with that one. It looks pretty terrific to me.-Art
Danno Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Beautiful build, Dave! Exceptional job of overcoming a failed kit. Gorgeous color ~ just love it! Welcome back . . . don't be a stranger.
