There are certain actors who I just avoid to save time. My rule of thumb is that if Tom Cruise or John Travolta is in it, I can skip it. Haven't missed out as far as I can tell.

Short. Italian. Hook nose. Pesci can do anything.

Enzo was quite tall. Dominic Chianese could maby do the job well.

Tom Cruise? As Carroll Shelby? Ridiculous! Mr. "I wanna be a real hero" is so overplayed in his fantasy roles it is nauseating. Shelby deserves better than this...MUCH better. Too bad Steve McQueen isn't still alive.

My 2 cents if anyone is till following this is this, putting cruise and shelby in the same sentence is like hearing Obama and good president but after I thought about it, it actually makes since. Tom has alot of driving experience from stock car to open wheel ...heck I just seen a deal on him not to long ago were he was driving an F1 car and cutting some pretty quick laps. So who knows, might not be to bad. Oh and for the record Barry pepper made a horrid Earnhardt. Take Kevin Costner From wyatt Earp

I also think Matthew McConaughey would do well as Shelby. A movie such as this should be treated like the Steve jobs/Bill gates of the automobile world, it would certainly either be an amazing movie or a complete disaster.
