crazyrichard Posted December 7, 2013 Author Posted December 7, 2013 whell first of all better pictures in this update , second i completly did the concrete floor over , started from scratch with paint , i needed to extend the squares to the garage part .. it was not easy and at one point i thought i ruined the floor .. in the end the tones and looks came out better then before.. used some bondo then light grey , some mixed juices .... the grass is just loose and a test , i want to build a wooden fence from the side of the garage around the corner ll the way along the left side , then add a tree , bushes and place the ford in the corner with some more car parts around it .. the ford isnt done completly will get some more work just one shot in front of the window looking into the garden , later on i want to find the right location and take the dio out there for some real nice outdoor pictures
crazyrichard Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 started the wooden fencing today chose to make the grass strip smaller , and later i will make a gravel path at the gate in the fence .. the pole will get a large round texaco sign .. i will make the grass less green with paints the edge will become like concrete , all is just placed loosly
crazyrichard Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 RICHARD, THIS JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER! thnx blair !! whell i think i finally found the perfect set up for the corner !! took soil from the garden and mixed that with wood glue , hope it will work , i think it will , made it higher along the fence and low at the gate ... did the grass with oil paints and made it more yellow , like its ....half dead ? added the pole and painted the concrete strip the car will sit beside the pole as a sort of commercial piece , i think i will make a sign or logo on the side with the bodyparts like wings and hood they got a coat of valejo rust pigment powder on a thin wet coat of brown paint a better vieuw of how it looks irl the fence will get some washes this is just the base coat
gasser59 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Amazing and astounding results Richard. Love this whole build.
crazyrichard Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 thnx brad .. i must say its been so much fun .. starting to really come together now already cant waight to start a new dio lol gave the fence a wash with brown oild paint and put some weeds around the fence and grass .. maybe i will make a little outhouse on the dirt in the corner haha
bpletcher55 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 AGEN RICHARD VERY WELL DONE !,I,M GETTING AN ITCH FOR A DIORAMA ,THIS IS THE CATS A$$! ,LOVE IT BUDDY ,
Ramfins59 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Richard this looks absolutely wonderful. Each new detail that you add brings it more and more to life. Have you considered adding any scale people to this scene..?? That would really add life to it.
crazyrichard Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 thnx guys and whel no because in some weird way scale persons tend to make it less realistic , maybe later on but if i do i want quiality miniature people not those fake ones could be cool though i think if you liked the previous pics you love these i took some outside today and on 2 the sun was shining. pics are made in the garden , when its done i will look for a nice park and make pictures there .. without the sun (went away as quick as it came lol) but this really shows the colors and tints real nice the dirt , man i was amazed just ground out of my garden mixed with wood glue and now its dry and its dark again , its sealed and is fixed tight , imo it looks great the grass is made more yellow and somewhat dead with oil paints the idea is to add old parts in teh dirt along the fence , some old knackered tyres , some stuff under a tarp .. and just dress up that corner real nice in the corner i do want to make a toilet outhouse , would look so cool hahahaha
gasser59 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 The outside pictures in the sun are amazing. The blurry background trees and structures make this look so real.
vaughn Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Fantastic work you do Richard. So what scale is this ?
crazyrichard Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 thnx guys and this is 1/25 scale ... and yes with the trees it looks great , when its finished i will take it to like a local park , its more nature and nice and rough .. there i want to try and make pics just like the well known guy with the awsome dio photography or at least try to make some pics a bit in that style .. wont be as good but .. started the commercial pole ? how do you call that , found a big tyre and thought whow that would be awsome to use .. bit difefrent from the usual , i could use an old tyre logo ... also gave the soil a wash and gave the bushes / weeds the same yellow tone as the grass
Tom Geiger Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Richard, ignore the rusty Scout and look at the sign in the background. That would be cool hanging from your tire sign!
bpletcher55 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 RICHARD ,THOSE PICS ARE SWEET! THIS IS TURNING IN TO ONE OF MY FAVORITE DIORAMAS ,GREAT JOB !
Apriliadan Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Very, very nice Richard, going to be amazing under glass.
crazyrichard Posted December 10, 2013 Author Posted December 10, 2013 nice tom !! and thnx guys !! made a logo in the sign and weathered the pole and sign under the round sign i can place a dquare sign so tom you where spot on close up overall vieuw the corner on the dirt will be dressed next , make a outhouse there
crazyrichard Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 found some small gravel , it was in a jar and ment for interiour stuff like to put in a glass for ...?? lol i thought its better off becoming a bit of random gravel to my small gate in the fence , made it so it looks it slightly went on the concrete also a great spot to take pics of modelcars .. so i think i will not stuff that earea full ...maybe some stuff along the fence .. on my big garage dio i made the fault of wanting to put in to much and then there was little room for actual cars lol
crazyrichard Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 i got a roll of brass plate , superthin from a friended builder and since i want to try and work with brass in the future , like make chassis and parts i thought lets try to make a drum out of the brass plate it did not have to be perfect because it needed to look a bit old , so that made it more easy the roll first red paint and a wash of brown , will add some stuff to it tomorrow also gave the fence a coat with pigment powder , really looks better now imo total vieuw
crazyrichard Posted December 12, 2013 Author Posted December 12, 2013 thnx thnx here is the drum in daylight .. maybe add a round filler opening ... took 2 pics in the garden today , to bad most of the time there is always something in the pic that gives away the scale , but when i will shoot on location in the nature park i think i will be able to make cool shots with nice farsights
