ratnasty Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 Yes Greg I use an ALPS and the gold came out nice , I ran the yellow over the top of the metallic gold and it gave it the yellow gold old school look Chuck
Greg Wann Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) Hi Chuck, The alps printer is very nice but what will you do when it breaks? I am curious about the upkeep too. I bought one of these kits: http://www.pulsarprofx.com/decalpro/ and recently bought a HP color laser all in one printer. I have applied the image to decal paper. It works pretty well. Otherwise you have to apply the image dead on to your target location. If you are applying the image per instructions the thickness is negligible. Pulsar makes a kit that could make photo etch parts as well. The kit is actually for making circuit boards for electronics use. Both of these kits are under a hundred bucks. w451973 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I know I could use a few sets. Maybe a sheet with ten sets. I know there are a few more people looking for them also. If you can do it that would be great. Thanks Dennis
FAST442 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Id be interested in a sheet of the ramrod and maybe some black and white W-31 for the 69s too!
DrKerry Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) Do you know of anyone that does the cowl/front fender decal that has 442 in it? It's like the bumble bee stripe on Mopars but wraps the cowl area on the 68 442. I don't know what Olds called it.. https://www.google.com/search?q=68+442&client=firefox-a&hs=caq&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=fdyjUu6mKI3vrAGLroD4Ag&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1280&bih=904#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=zh3mgqrc0DRTdM%3A%3B4qgybXx_JiaLnM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.442.com%252Fvcs%252F1964_1972%252Fmscott684.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.442.com%252Fvcs%252F1964_1972%252Fmscott68.html%3B648%3B234 Edited December 8, 2013 by DrKerry
dimaxion Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Yes , Keith Marks has the ftront stripe fopr '68 Olds 442's . I have it on my WIP . No Red Line Tires F-70 x 14 . Thanx ..
w451973 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Id be interested in a sheet of the ramrod and maybe some black and white W-31 for the 69s too!Fred Cady made some. But I don't know if you can still get them. A fresh sheet with 1968 Ram Rod, Cutlass, 442, F-85, fender stripes and 1969 W-31, W-30, W-32, 442, F-85 along with 68-69 dash decals would be awesome. There is a difference in the 442 and F-85 emblems between 68 and 69.A complete sheet with all these, correct and updated with be fantastic.
