keone2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Well here is the start to my next build. An extended Lonestar with a Peterbilt wrecker body. So far I got the interior almost done. Took the bed from the re-released Revell Peterbilt 359 Wrecker as well as the shifter. Photo Etched parts from CZW. Some resin parts from Ben for the make shift kitchen. Still trying to figure some stuff out. More to come soon.
weirich1 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I really like using a decal for a bedspread.
olsbooks Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Looking good. Yes, heck of an idea using decals for the blanket/bedspread.
keone2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 Looking good. Yes, heck of an idea using decals for the blanket/bedspread. I really like using a decal for a bedspread. Interior looks great. Excellent detail.. Thanks for the comments guys. You can't tell, but the bedspread/ blanket is actually a picture that I just shrank down and printed it out on my printer.
keone2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 Well here is a little progress. Finished extending the frame and got it painted. Took part of the Revell 359 Wrecker frame and part of the Lonestar frame and combined them. It looks blue in the pictures, but its purple. Also got the tanks painted white with purple straps. Started on extending the cab and the wrecker body. More to come soon.
Bennyg Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 That's going to be a monster. Love the interior. Ben
kilrathy10 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Oh, yeah...This is gonna look GOOD...I really like what you're doing here....
keone2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 Thanks for the comments! It was a hassle trying to combine the 2 frames.
keone2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Author Posted December 19, 2013 Got started on the hood. It looks real shiny with the wet look clear from Testors
keone2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Author Posted December 23, 2013 Started on the wrecker body. Got most of it done.
weirich1 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Keep them pictures coming! Looking badass!
keone2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Author Posted December 23, 2013 I will keep you guys updated as I progress. Might be kinda slow. It's winter here. I've been spray painting inside.
kilrathy10 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Good luck with the paint....What you got, so far, is looking pretty awesome....Excellent work....
keone2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Author Posted December 23, 2013 Thanks JT. I've been getting high on paint fumes. Haha.
keone2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Author Posted December 24, 2013 Just a little progress. Started on the boom part. Also the doors to the outriggers looked plain, so I put a couple of murals on them.
keone2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Author Posted December 24, 2013 Here's a quick mock up of what it will eventually look like. Hope you guys all like it.
weirich1 Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 what are you planning on towing with this monster?
keone2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Author Posted December 24, 2013 Whatever model I build next. I had a Lonestar, but had to sacrifice it for the extended cab.
