Thanks Richard! Got plywood on the left hand wall last night and finished the framing on the right hand wall. Going to plywood that one here in a few mins then build the front and rear walls next! The Chopper has helped me speed up building a lot! Its worth every penny it cost!

Its called Balsa & Basswood Glue by Midwest Products. Its a white glue that dries clear but its thicker than Elmer's white glue. Works pretty good for what im doing.

Working on the back wall now. Will get plywood on it and the front wall tonight then tomorrow will be figuring out what i want to do for a base.

Made it 2" longer so i have room to add a work bench and tool boxes on one side, width is now 24' wide.

Thanks Charlie! Heres some more work......I have a box with holes in it now! lol Still going to put some bracing inbetween the studs in the walls. Could not resist the urge to put cars in it. Now you can see why i made it taller, wider and longer than the plans say. I am building this to display the Superbird for the most part.

I use the Chopper to cut them to lenght but it can not rip them down. I ripped all these studs down by hand out of a 3" wide board. Not fun, used a metal ruler and a X-acto knife and cut like 60 studs that way. Hobby Lobby and Michaels both sell the 1/16x 1/8 x 24" strips for .79 cents each. Much easier to do it that way. Ripping them down sucks a lot! lol

Looks very nice and am glad you went bigger. When I saw the plans for a 20'x20' garage, I had flashbacks to my first house and how tight things were in that garage.

Building a garage is on my list of things to do and I think I will go 30'x30 so I can have some workspace and rooms for tools.

I'll be watching this as it progresses!

Thanks, and from an ex-carpenter thats built a lot of garages in his life, build the biggest one you can afford. Add a steep roof and sheet the upstairs for storage, also build the walls 10 or 12 foot tall. 30x30 would be the smallest i would ever build if you are planning on ever having more than 1 car in there at a time. One last thing, add windows up high to let in the light but high enough to keep people from seeing in.

I will try and get some work in on this tonight, whats stopping me right now is i need to cut a base and i dont want to do it at my apartment building.

This is cool...love it! Pretty much what I've been looking for to build. Checked it out, downloaded and printed up the plans too. ANOTHER project to build, but will definitely be worth doing!

Got some more stuff to work on this. I cut a base out of 3/4 inch particle board but its just too flippin heavy to use so here's the new plan. I picked up this magnetic dry erase board at Michaels for 12.00 (after 40% off). The main reason for this is the board is light weight and solid, also its got a fully trimmed edging around the outside.I also got some stone paint to act as the concrete driveway (5.99 after 40% off), and last week i got some trees and gravel to use (both 50% off for a total of 7.00). Work will slowly start tonight but i have 5 builds going right now that im trying to finish for a show in a month.
