Jeff Johnston Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 My first attempt at weathering and I am having lots of fun. I'm quite a bit into it, and I've been too lazy to post it I guess I have since created some rust holes in the frame and floorboard...
James W Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 For a first attempt, it looks pretty good. Your rust spots are spot on. Keep going, it looks great.
bigphoto Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Very well done so far, the 1:1 cars had real problem with the frame rotting where it kicks up over the rear wheels I have checked many with a screwdriver to see if the car was worth buying and most weren't!
Jeff Johnston Posted December 1, 2007 Author Posted December 1, 2007 Here are some updates Holes in the frame and floorboards needed to be added... engine compartment not done. different hood
Dr. Cranky Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 That's some great weathering I love all the rot in the pans and panels . . . very good job.
James W Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Hey Jeff, Looks real good. Your techniques are great. If you get a bug to do some more I can only suggest topic specific research and practice to hone your skills. I get the bug to do these things every time I try to do a glossy paint job.
Raul_Perez Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Nice job!!! Very well done! Now that I'm retired from bodywork, I don't cringe when I see something like this!! Keep up the good work!!
