i do the same stuff with regulair paper .. you can try using normal household glue like the clear glue people often use to glue paper or ... and i always just paint over some clear carnish .. i have that in matt and gloss .. maybe its easyer and cheaper ??

but ifyou like this method keep doing it because it look great :)

That answers that question. Excellent way to go about it. I will have to remember this technique for sure. The Rat is looking great!!!
