Motor Madness!!!

I started adding more color to the Pod Racer Engines.

Then I applied a Black Wash. After it dried I sprayed the Engines with Testors Dullcote.

Next I added several Red Fuel Lines. The Engines are almost ready to mount on the Vette Jet.

Get A Grip!

I found an old set of 8th scale Handle Bars in the parts box. I think they will work on the Vette Jet. First I removed all of the old chrome. Next I painted the Bars with Tamiya Silver Leaf and then I painted the Grips Flat Black.

I cut the Bars to fit and then glued them on the underside of the Dashboard. Here they are in place.

After avoiding this topic because of lack of interest in the subject matter, I finally took a look and I'm very impressed. This whole thing is extremely clever. Your techniques, your descriptions and photos are very illuminating, and I'll keep following.

Thanks for the kind words Skip!

So glad you took a look... B)

Overlapping Bubbles in the Future!

I finally got both Front and Back Bubbles to fit in the Bubble Ridge but one of the Bubbles is too long. So I marked the rear Bubble using the front Bubble as a template and cut the Rear Bubble flush with the Front.

After seeing some clear parts that were dipped in Future I decided to try it on the Bubbles. Thank you Robert and Kinley for all of the Future Tips! I decided to dip the parts instead of brushing them. Now I need to find a container for Future Dipping...

I used the other half of the bottle, that I cut one of the Bubbles from, for Bubble Dipping.

The Bubble is Done!

I taped the Bubble halves together with RC Stripping Tape and then I glued them in place with Formula 560 Canopy Glue. I decided to finish the Bubble Top with some Black and more Silver Stripping Tape.
The Vette Jet should be Finished later today!
