br67 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Hi, have recently bought a Johan AMX and SC Rambler and am looking for a good color match for the engine block - any suggestions? Thx
MrObsessive Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 The 1:1 '69 AMX I owned (390) had a turquoise color to the block. IIRC, 1968-70 390's during these years were turquoise. I can't think of any paint type off the shelf that may have this. Perhaps MCW might have this in their product line?

Thx 68-69 AMC engines were painted a very bright, sparkly turquoise metallic. Art
jeffs396 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Duplicolor #440 Bright Aqua is a decent match...
br67 Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 Thx guys I think I may consider Model Master 2765 turquoise
Dave Van Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Even on my 1/1 scale AMC's I do not worry about original block color....it's made...but it's about 3 times the cost of the Ford engine blue I use....that I can pick up down the street.....the AMC color you have to order.
