cartpix Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I started this one a few years ago. I broke it out, so I could get one more finished for 2013. I had already painted the body Model Master Burgundy Red Metallic but it was more brown than red I did have to paint the engine compartment & under the hood, though Interior, painted & flocked Dash with decals Engine & distributor Chassis Assembled Chassis I've got a couple more days, to finish it, but I think I can pull it off

cartpix Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 looks great, nice color too. hope to get mine done this week as well. is the hood from the wagon kit? Good luck with yours. Yes, the hood is from the wagon kit. Looks great, very well done. I am a fan of the Chevy rally wheels, where did you get yours? I'm a huge fan of rally wheels, too. I ran them on all my Chevys, back in the day. I'm pretty sure they came out of the Revell 69 Z-28 Camaro. I painted Testors steel, between the hub caps & beauty rings & black washed the ribs on the hub caps. Thanks for the rest of the comments. I love the color, too. I was sure I shot a 36 Ford, in the same color, & it came out maroon. Of course, that was over 20 years ago, so maybe my memory is a bit foggy. I got some work, on it, tonight, & I have tomorrow off, so I have a good feeling about getting it done, before the clock strikes 12.
cartpix Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 Here's a couple more work bench shots. I did get it finished, before the end of the year. Here's a like to the Under Glass post. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83567 Just after mating the body to the chassis Roker moldings, door handles, & wipers installed
