Austin T
Looks like a Nash and an Oldsmobile had a kid. It looks nice, to those that know was there ever a two door version?

Harry P.
This week's car is a 1958 Renault Fregate Amiral (built from 1951-60). http://voitures.renault.free.fr/?img=820 Who got it right: Erik Smith maltsr MikeMc george53 Foxer ChrisR wisdonm Badluck13 lower99 Lovefordgalaxie GeeBee
DonW
Good one Harry, I just couldn't quite place it! Pretty car, especially for Renault.
Erik Smith
It is a neat car - and I like the photo, too - gray backdrop, subdued colors on the car, and a lady in red (with black gloves to coordinate with the black lower of the car). Hey, maybe Heller can make one now that they're making some new tools!
Lovefordgalaxie
The first time I saw one, I realized something interesting: The roof and doors are virtually the same as the ones on the Renault Dauphine (basic parts are the same, but trim and some stamped details change) The car is A LOT smaller than it looks by the picture. customsrus
Looks like a Nash and an Oldsmobile had a kid. It looks nice, to those that know was there ever a two door version? They did make a similar car called the Fregate Chapron in a two door and a convertible. Here is a picture of them.
dimaxion
In my defanse , yes I am consistant . I had the Country of Orgin correct as I mostly get right . "Close but no Cigar" . Thanx ..
otherunicorn
What threw me was it was about 8 years behind the times for styling. I came across Renaults but my specified date was too early. Those rear fenders had long since gone out of style over in USA.
