Chris White Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 tonight I will fight to stay up till midnight, but I am in the best company a father, and husband could ever have. Tomorrow I will spend some time with 50 chev pickup, still striving for perfection. Happy New Year, may it find you all, safe and happy.
niteowl7710 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 It's been a long and exhausting past couple of days dealing with a sick mother, and a 10 mo baby in the ER until 2am last night (double ear infection, he'll be fine, he's a trooper), so if I actually make it to Midnight it'll be something. Besides it's only 3 1/2 weeks until the Annual 24 Hour Build (Jan 25/26), so I need to stock up on sleep now while I still can!
Freeman Cars Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Beautiful paint job , what did you do? Not really doing much model work tonight, I think I am going to spend time online in Grand Theft Auto V that is car is killer. are you going to post a pic when done?
Chas SCR Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Made some machine shock caps that are also threaded on. This is build for Redline Graphixs out of Ohio
MachinistMark Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 My plans involve my wife and friend and a couple dozen beer! Happy new years! Models in 2014...
Greg Cullinan Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Never made it to the bench. Sofa is too comfy. Watched Hobbit 2 and now Gravity.
Johnny K Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 After some yard work. I was at the bench most of the afternoon. Plan on going back tomorrow afternoon. . My 'yard' work consisted of shoveling snow from walk and drive this morning. Tomorrow might be a good time to re-attach some parts from various builts I've acquired over this past year.
slusher Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I'll be hammering away on my '61 F-100! This is how it looked when I got it a few days ago. It's back in primer now. Nice score Roger, make sure I get to see it, when finished...
slusher Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I have not built since before Christmas, I do my best work alone on models...
Marcus M. Jones Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 yep i started working on a video tutorial tonight on scratch building a frame.
cartpix Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I spent some quality time, at the bench, today/ tonight, & finished my last model for the year.
disabled modeler Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 No building here...still working on the clean up thanks to the burglars.
scaleauto Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I have been on and off the bench since Monday. I received my 1953 Hudson Hollywood from Jeff Ballard - Motor City Resin Casters. Very happy with my Hudson Hollywood.
FASTBACK340 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I walked away from my workbench about 6:30 last night. I just retrieved my painted interior & chassis parts and will be at the bench all day today. Nursing a food-induced hangover…..
Guest Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Yep, I'm trying to get this one finished. Got off early from work this afternoon that gave me a head start. That looks cool Ron! Is that the Monkee Mobile with a roof or a GTO with the MM front end and rear section?
ZTony8 Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 I did finish the Tyrrell! It wasn't until Thursday morning, but it's done.I had come up to make dinner on Wednesday evening and was so tired and chilled(it's cold in my basement and the outside temp being about 15 degrees didn't help) that I didn't make it back downstairs to finish the car.I ended up dozing off in the recliner for about 2 hours, awakened only by the boom of firecrackers at midnight.
