The term "Barn Find" is so overused. How about "Pulled from Storage" or "I finally washed the car"?

Agree 100%, a proper barn find is a car covered in dust,trash and 3 inches of bird poop.

it says it was parked for 40 years, and it looks like in a barn, to me, a true "barn find" is a car that has been sitting anywhere for a long period of time. "field find", "garage find" just doesn't have the same ring to it. I think it's a great story. I found my hemi car (yes, long gone now) in a warehouse. I think the term "barn find" is just that, a term.

This car doesn't look like anything I've seen that's set in a barn for 40 years. I realize that she's been cleaned up to sell on ebay, but the one thing that bothers me is that the tires aren't checked. Polyglass tires setting in a barn for 40 years don't look that good. She looks more like a well cared for daily driver to me.

you are correct, funny there are no pictures of it "dirty". that's the cool factor of barn finds, maybe they consider it not being on the road for years a "barn find"? heck, mine hasn't seen street pavement in 15 or so. is mine one of these? I think we will hear more about this one.

"Barn find" is a term that has become just as abused and over-used as "rat rod". Of course, that's just my opinion.

The article indicates that this was not parked and forgotten, bu meticulously cared for in it's original condition. The article also indicates that the car was put in a barn for photos, and not actually found in a barn.

I was going to disagree with Daddyfink about this until I actually read the article. In this case, "Barn Find" was used for sensationalism only, it seems.
