..... Kelly Chadwick was a racer and high school teacher form Floydada, Texas .......... a small farming community about 75 miles southeast of my hometown of Amarillo (he also built Chevrolet racing engines including the one in my '61 Corvette) ............ he is more known for his Camaro and Vega funny cars than he is for this one, but it was his start into big time match racing

His first match racer was a non-altered wheelbase '65 Chevelle powered by a big block 427 Chrvrolet engine

Never seen this one run. But I did see the P/S Vega run, very nice car. I seen him at the Bristol spring national s, my dad use to race in stock. An super stock class, great times, thanks for sharing,

I lived in Lubbock, and had no idea he was a local boy. Very nice model--where'd you get the decals? Personally, I'd like to see more pics; maybe the underside. Great work!

The decals came from SLIXX and they're still available. Don't have any "underneath" shots, but I'll se what I can do (weather permitting).
