My primary interests include Indy 500, Can Am, Street rods although I'll build anything I find interesting. I have been a builder for 30+ years. It was my full time job for 2 years. It's tough being an artist...feast or famine. I build for a few select clients and continue to create masters for my Brickyard Engineering line 1/43 Indy cars. I'm currently working on a 1/25 Mclaren Indy car that will be resin cast. I have had the pleasure to work with and learn from Andy Martin of Aardvark Models, Jim Kampmann and other great builders from Minnesota. I was about 17 when I met these guys at an MCCM meeting and their builds inspired me to pursue the model car venue. I had previously built primarily military stuff. A number of my 1/43 builds have graced the pages of Model Cars Magazine. I believe you are never to old or to experienced to learn new techniques when you think you are you are no longer growing.

Welcome Cal, from one Wisconsinite to another........ Stay warm!!!!

I bike and cross-country ski in the winter...no problems with sub-zero temps. I just got a below zero rated sleeping bag and am going to try a winter tent camping trip.
