mrindy77 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Polar lights Dodge Charger, custom Alps decals...otherwise pretty much out of box.
bbowser Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Nice work. As I recall that kit doesn't just fall together, you made it look good.
o-man Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Funny, I just read the Road and Track article on the real car. Yours look great!
mrindy77 Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 I'm not a big NASCAR fan but the American assualt on Lemans with big old American V8 thunder intrigued me to build this replica. It was also an exercise in doing a set of decals on the ALPS. I like to build unique cars that others have not ventured to build. Oh yeah....and I like beer sponsored race cars even if it is canoe beer. (Beer that is close to water).
Plasticfanatic Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 That look GREAT and P.L. kits are not very "friendly in build stage"!!!!! Did you made the "c" pilar modification to the earlier body work look or P.L. kit is now available in this body style? Again your model and decals look superb. I am thinking of doing the 1976 Ford Torino "Truxmore" Lemans car and this same Charger.
mrindy77 Posted January 25, 2014 Author Posted January 25, 2014 'C' pillar modified by me as well as hood.
