mnwildpunk Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 So as I walk into the modeling room today I got a bit of a surprise. My step-son 9 (also a model builder) decided to check out a bunch of my kits and started mixing and matching different kits. I caught him mid-way through and of course he wasn't sure what came from where. Just glad he didn't start pulling parts off of sprues. So I had to sit him down and have a talk about it. As I start cleaning up I see he was on the right track with one he had the chopped 27 T-body from the double t kit and set the twin blown hemi from the stude starliner kit and it looked pretty darn wicked. I see talent. Tonight when he goes to bed I am mixing up parts from his three kits so he will know what a pain it is finding the right home for everything. He he he

Tom Geiger Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 As I start cleaning up I see he was on the right track with one he had the chopped 27 T-body from the double t kit and set the twin blown hemi from the stude starliner kit and it looked pretty darn wicked. I see talent. Sounds like he's ripe for cultivating. He does need to understand how to respect your stuff, but his heart was in the right place. Way back when my kids were little, my youngest might have been five or six and went into my hobby room and dumped a whole bottle of super glue into an interior tub. Thankfully she didn't get it on herself.
