dino246gt Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Really nicely detailed, realistic in every way, nice job!!!
Nacho Z Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Looking at this one just puts a smile on my face. Lots of neat detail, clean build, good pictures and cool subject plus you tell us about the work you've done. Couldn't ask for more.
Speedfreak Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 That really looks great. Fine tribute to Fireball and Ford.
MadKaw6 Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 Are the add on tail lights from the kit? or were they from something else. They look like truck tail lights. The tow lights I added are from a Jeep Bushwacker kit, but you could use about any light that looks like a trailer light.
MadKaw6 Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 Very well done! Any more info on the tires? I'm not familiar with PPP. Plastic Performance Products. I get them from Model Roundup usually or from Daytona Racing Souvenirs and Hobbies in Daytona Beach. The tires I used on this car are 57-59 Goodyear racing tires. Thanks again for all the compliments.
rmvw guy Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Nicely done, and great lesson on how to build an authenic looking stock car racer. I wasn't aware they ran exhaust through the tailights but, what a neat trick and looks really cool too. I have this kit waiting on the shelf and may use some of your tips, thanks. Awesome job!
RancheroSteve Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Plastic Performance Products. I get them from Model Roundup usually or from Daytona Racing Souvenirs and Hobbies in Daytona Beach. I figured it out after a while, and got a set from Southern Motorsport Hobbies (great service, by the way).
MadKaw6 Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 Are the add on tail lights from the kit? or were they from something else. They look like truck tail lights. The tailight lenses came from a Jeep Bushwacker kit. I made the rings with a hole punch from Evergreen plastic.
