Dave42 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Hey guys, Old "T" truck, and my second attempt at weathering, (at least the salt deal), not much else. Toned down a bit from my first try, but still a long way to go, have to try some of the other techniques to do other stuff too. Thanks for looking! more pics: http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/weathered-rod/
the goon Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Nice. Weathering looks good, like the color. Mark
PappyD340 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 OOOOOH that's really NICE Dave, I like it!!
rmvw guy Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I like the look Dave. How did you get the decals to lay down so well on the primer/rust? I don't see a trace of decal lines, is this hand painted pin striping? I like the top up look and the seats also. Nice job!
Dave42 Posted February 11, 2014 Author Posted February 11, 2014 Thanks guys, your comments mean a lot! Ron, thank you as well, and I only wish I could pinstripe by hand. They are decals, and I used Micro Sol and Micro Set, so kudos to the chemicals. Thanks for looking! Dave
Tom Geiger Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Very cool model! And that's about my style too!
realgone58 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Oh yeah! That looks great! I've yet to try the salt technique, but I plan on it.
