I screwed up on the '55 Ford pickup I was building. I made the mistake of not mixing enough paint for it and then I grabbed the wrong bottle to finish it which was a darker color. It's sitting in the Purple Pond right now. So, I thought I'd try to build the Fiat from the Double Dragster kit to get me going again. My builds will probably be long since I'm still putting in 50 to 55 hours a week on my "Real" job.

Happens. Hang in there. I did a stang funny car that started out as the bounty hunter, then the blue max, ended up with the Keeling and Crayton fc. Lol. Long hrs is a bummer. Good luck, you'll get it,

Had a rare afternoon off. Supposed to get a blizzard but never happened which I'm glad. Anyway, got the engine done. Wondering about dechroming the wheels. Not a big fan of chrome but would like some input.

hi lee, me either, on chrome on these wheels. basic testors silver spray,...a couple of light coats,..followed by a dust coat of testors dullcoat over, does look nice on these, and for this job I prefer the basic testors sprays on rims,..not the model master spray...regards and good luck, alf.

Looks good Lee. And you're right about the wheels. Just putting a coat of black ' The Detailer ' wash on those wheels would be another way to liven them up. Love the Fiat!

Managed to get some more time on the bench today. Got the '55 Ford pickup cab out of the Purple Pond today, went to shot the primer on it after I got it cleaned up, and my airbrush just splattered the primer on it. So back in the Purple Pond. post-11070-0-90271500-1393126900_thumb.j

But I did get the frame and the running gear mocked up on the Fiat along with getting the body ready for paint.post-11070-0-71643300-1393126990_thumb.jpost-11070-0-68849200-1393127013_thumb.jpost-11070-0-62867400-1393127037_thumb.j

I've noticed a few of you have either built this car or are in the middle of building it. My question is, how do you get everything lined up on the front axle and suspension at the same time?
