goodwin3224 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) so i ended up starting yet anther project. here it is so far Edited February 21, 2014 by goodwin3224
kilrathy10 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Looking great, so far.....I like what you're attempting with the Moebius 53' trailer suspension....You're gonna have some fun with this one, I can see....
goodwin3224 Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 Thanks everyone. And I was going to use that suspension but I came to the conclusion that I could only use the axle themselves due to the airbag placement. And the front axle would have to be custom eitherway.
goodwin3224 Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 I have to go pick up more I beam first
olsbooks Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 This is so neat. Inspires me to perhaps one day build a yacht/big boat hauler trailer. Got a neighbor with a Prostar that hauls new 25-40' footers and his trailer looks alot like this...just not quite so heavy duty but very similar. Nice job!

Got a neighbor with a Prostar that hauls new 25-40' footers and his trailer looks alot like this...just not quite so heavy duty but very similar. Nice job! That's awesome. I have also thought about building on of those for like the corvette, Ferrari, or Mercedes cigarette boats but the lowboy was what I chose for my first attempt
goodwin3224 Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 oh no your short already Yeah it took 5 pieces with no mishaps to get that far
blackbeard Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 so very true and now he needs 10 more pieces to complete it
goodwin3224 Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 I only need one more for the other outer frame rail
ap40rocktruck Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 interesting, although it is more like a 40 ton, with only 3 axles, on light weight air suspension and very small main beams. More pics?
goodwin3224 Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 I'm not an expert I'm just going off of that the blue prints say.
goodwin3224 Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 And I don't have the suspension done so I don't know where your getting that from. And nope that's it so far
ap40rocktruck Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I'm not an expert I'm just going off of that the blue prints say. I suspect it reads 80,000 pound cap, which equals 40 ton US.
