om617 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Turned out great and the very nice with the little custom touch As for you`re 1:1,a driver with some patina have more charm to me then nut and bolt restored garage queens.
Ramfins59 Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 Thanks Tommy...... Oh yeah, I totally agree with you, and believe me, my old Dodge definitely had "some patina"......LOL.
Ramfins59 Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 Thank you very much Bryan and Ira, I appreciate your encouraging words.
Grumpa Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 This is beautiful Rick! The "BMF" work is fantastic! Being an ex-model railroader, I never gave Floquil much thought as an exterior color, but this looks good.
Ramfins59 Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 Thank you Sam & Mark. Mark, this is the first time I've ever used Floquil paint for an exterior color,as it was the closest match I could find for the color of the 1:1 car. I usually just use the Floquil paints on interiors. First they changed the formula and stopped making the water based colors and now Testors dropped Floquil altogether.
charlie8575 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Nice job, Rich. Definitely an end result to be proud of. Charlie Larkin

The ole `Boat looks really nice!!!!! Great job Rich!! Looking forward to seeing both you & the model next month at NNL East.

Teddy J. Tannehill Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Really Keen Rich...I am diggin' all the personal touches you put on your 59 Dodge. It brings back a lot of good memories to see a car like this on display...It looks great parked in front of the diorama you made...Keep 'er going.
