  1. I have always liked Cougars and Mustangs. Yours gives us the best of both...I also like the under the hood situation...I am building a Cobra Jet for a project...I like your detail ideas.
  2. It is like Yen and Yang The Long and Short The Day and Night...Duality of Consciousness. Heavy Heavy Heavy. And yes I get it, and I like it.
  3. Rich you are the man on these 50s classics...Your cars bring back great memories. Thanks
  4. The 57 chevy is one of my favorites...Yours is one also....I don't know how you did it...But I like it a lot... looks so long and low...The Paint is just right...One Tuff 57. She is so nice...So not nice.
  5. Really nice work. Now I cant stop thinking about this car...Ok I am going back for one more look.
  6. Really Keen. I like your Ford. How did you get it so low....love the stance...The paint...everything.
  7. Looks like an "Endless Summer Woody"....This one has been chasin' waves...."Tubular Dreams"
  8. Really good looking. You did a great job the top looks so real.
  9. Thanks Carl always good to hear from you. Hope everything is going well for you. I have cleaned both kits with 409 and a toothbrush, rinsed with water. I have started my body work on the Mach 1. This AMT kit seems pretty nice. I think it is one of those kits that is not long on details in certain areas, for example the front suspension is molded in and rear differential/drive shaft and leaf springs are one unit. Again I think it looks OK once you have it built. Just the same I will probably go to the "Bone Yard" and find a front and rear end I like better. It looks like I am going to have my hands full with the Sedan Delivery, this kit get did not get rave reviews...Still I have been looking forward to building it. My plan is to use the Cobra Jet motor from the Mustang....It has enough optional parts to build 3 different engines. One is stock "I think its a 351" This is the one I am using in the Mach 1. The 3rd option is called a "Resto Rod" motor. The Tran'ys on all these motors seem to cut off at the bell housing. I guess this is because once the motor is installed in the Mustang you cant see it so they omitted the detail. I think I can come up with something to make it look right. Carl thanks for looking and your kind words. I will try to post pics to keep you updated on these projects....I am having a lot of trouble posting photos and I am not sure why. Website keeps giving me the message my files are to large....I have tried setting my digital camera to the lowest resolution, doing a save as to a file using the small web setting. The strange thing is I had no problems until about 3 weeks ago....with the work arounds I could post 1 maybe 2 pics....Now I cant post any.
  10. Builders you are probably wondering what all these Fords are doing at Teddy's Hot Rod Shop. Guess I've noticed that I have built a few Fords...Some before I started wiring engines. I really like Mustangs so I am going to try building this 69. This AMT kit gives 3 engine options. Many of the Hot Rod Fords I have build have Small Block Chevys in them. So I figured the Chevy "Parts Getter" Panel Sedan Should get a Ford Cobra Jet. I am also thinking I will use a Ford Chassis on the Sedan Delivery....I will post some pics when I get things mocked up. The Mustang seems pretty cool, I have been looking forward to building one...I will be giving it the "Treatment" maybe more detail for the chassis situation. I do know what color this 69 will be "RED".
  11. Thanks for the nice words. Dale the color is a on the car mix of Black n Blue Pearl, True Blue Pearl, Metallic Purple and Transparent Candy Grape. I sprayed it on using a "Fade Technique" from one of Pat Coverts "How To" books. Combined with my version of a Foose Fade..I saw Chip Foose do on the TV show "Overhaulin". My paint jobs are a work in progress. Thank goodness for the polishing kit...Next time I am going to try clear coats to keep from getting thin spots on raised areas. Dale you are right about the hose its a little out of scale...The red suspension parts are kind of a "Trade Mark Move" That I Learned from my older brother....I still use it "Not sure why". Thanks for looking and the comments. You Guys help me build better looking cars.
  12. Really Keen Carl, That's a nice old hot rod. I am in between projects now. Looking at your panel sedan delivery makes me think of a parts git'r for my hot rod shop...Thanks for the kind words about the GTO. Love those 60s power cars. I have 2 Olds 442s the convertible and the hard top. I was think'n about doing a His and Her's. The Rag Top Red with Black interior for Her..And the Hard Top Black with a Red interior for the Guys car...Kind'a of a Hot Rod Yen and Yang. I guess my work bench would be full especially if I do the Sedan Delivery at the same time...I will sleep on it and let you know...
  13. I love these old woody's. This one is lookin' great, everything about it adds to its charm.
  14. I love the Buick, great find fishing off the bay...and also a great paint job...I would really like to build a 1:25 or 1:24th scale 55 Buick special...I have seen some resin one's but they are spendy and I have limited experience with resin.
  15. I like the way you corvette is coming out. I also think its cool that the GM guys are helping get things just right. The openings for the tail pipes don't look bad to me. If you wanted to address this with out re-spraying the body, you could brush on some clear lacquer, put it on in layers with a small detail brush let each coat dry before applying the next. Soon the gaps will be filled in. Now with your detail brush you can touch up with the body color. If your match is not perfect no worries just apply a small amount of crafters antiquing stain around the opening...since its next to the tail pipes this will add realism.
