  1. I really like those "Fire Breathing Impala's" from the 60s. I find myself including them in a "Muscle Car" discussion. I would be interested in hearing from the "Builders" input on listing "Top 20 Muscle Cars"...I think the 1970 Chevelle with the 454 would be on the list....Maybe if we just called 'em "Hot Rods" we could all agree.
  2. Wow this turned out to be a cool and interesting topic...Thank you Rich...I like your Idea of organizing the parts...I learned a lot from reading everybody's posts, Thanks Builders....
  3. A Very artistic and creative build...I like the look of this Hot Rod....Keep post'in pics.
  4. Great Ford
  5. Tom You are a Talented and Fearless Technician...And your concept is something a First Class Engineer would come up with. I like everything you have done...What will you use for windows?
  6. That is a nice 66 you have there...I have this kit on my waiting to be built shelf...I have only built one other lindberg car. It was the 409 SS Impala...I liked it pretty well...I think the body to frame, and fan to fan guard fit problems I had...I brought on myself...I now do a lot more test fitting and on the bench adjusting before glue and paint are put on...This seems to help. I like your work...That is what is neat about this hobby...Each Builder seems to have their own style...Yours seems pretty clean..I like the opening trunk and doors idea. I may try some more advanced stuff has my skill improves...My style is kind'a the "Rugged look"....Another thing I noticed about the Linberg kit is that the decals are a little "Tricky" to work with. They don't stick as well compared to AMT ones...I do like the look of the linberg water slides.....and if you wait long enough the do set.
  7. I like your Camaro...I think that body style is really good looking...I built this kit for a friend he wanted it to look like his car in real life. His car was a R/S. So I used the photo etched grill with hide away head lights from "Model Car Garage." I like what you have done with the grill and head lights...Really nice work.
  8. I love a 32 ford...You did it Justice
  9. Erik I must agree that is one of the best 57 fords I've ever seen. You are a talented "Builder" It was a joy to look at your car.
  10. Nice Impala you did a great job on it. Is this the Revell kit....How was the Build?
  11. That "Paint Job" is so "Deep" you can "Swim" in it. That Blue is "Cosmic Man".... Great work Jim.
  12. Pretty Hot Comet you have there...I like the look of the Under The Hood situation...I also like how it shows a little bit of exhaust pipe under the rockers....Nice Metal Flake Hot Rod.
  13. I enjoyed looking at you 'Vette.... I have had my eye on this Kit for a while...Thanks for sharing about the fit issues you had. I think it was worth it...You now have a "Pretty Cool" Yellow Vette to be proud of.
  14. I like your 'Cuda....These Mopars could "Wind Out" to 150 mph....You felt like you "Float'n" at 100....Insane but fun.
  15. Urban Assault Dodge...With the lights out and camped....Really Kool Shane. I'm Diggin' it.
  16. Rustic Truck Builders you all have done well...I feel like I have just had a "Great Burgundy." Because these have become "Better With Age."....I can't begin to tell you how much I've enjoyed this "Round Robyn." I am sure that a great man once said "Looking at Old Trucks is good for the Soul."
  17. Kyle I like your old truck...Living in the Mid West we see a lot of these...Your Yellow equipment and "Rugged Look" you added to them is really well done...Funny thing about these Old Trucks the body could be really rusted out....I had one from the 70s you. could see the ground through the floor.....But the motor ran great. Got it from a farmer for a $100 bucks...Used it for a "Wood Hauler" and a "Spoting Truck" for canoe trips...The paper work stated that it was a 74 but Old Farmer Milton said "It was a Mish'Mash of a few trucks to make that one." Almost as an after thought he said "The heater works." Thanks for sharing this one.
  18. My older brother was a street racer....he would have said "You gott'a watch out cuz' some of these old Plymouths will really go."
  19. I like your 40 Ford and the Display.....Steelies are cool and what great build from the "Scratch Box".
  20. One of my Pals in High School...Had one of these....It was Gold also...Great ride'n car...Pretty Fast to...Thanks Dan for Building and Sharing this one with us...Good times...Great Work...Kool
  21. Hi Rich. Let me start by saying "I enjoy reading your post." You did one not long ago about cleaning your work space and all the "Kool Treasure's" You re-discovered. You seem to have a "Un-Canny Knack" for putting into words the stuff that all of us "Builders" deal with....Bless you heart for that. I find that 2 projects on my work bench at one time seems to be the best number for me. I have a tendency to get distracted...or even "Trans'fixed" on the "Good Junk" in the "Bone Yard Box"...Or trying to find that one "Item" you "Know" you just recently "Saw"....and never did find....It can be "Madness." I enjoyed looking at the diorama you made after your shop clean up...Thank you for your insight, thoughts, and questions. The Guy at the "Hobby Shop" suggested working on several projects at once...While waiting for glue/paint to dry ect...I think he said that to sell me more stuff....It worked. Your Observation of the benefits in "Focusing Attention" on one project at a time has merit....Looking forward to hearing what some of "Builders" have to say.
  22. There is a foot ball in the air across a leaf blown field....There your first car on the road...and the girl you stole....Thanks for building and sharing this one with us. The "Vibe" is right from the "Era". To coin a phrase "Really neat'o daddy'o"....Great build......Looking at it just makes me happy.
  23. Great work Mike. I really like the "Barn/Junk Yard Find" look you built into this one...
  24. Hi Russ you have a good eye, the body is AMT The chassis from Revels 67 Chevelle Pro Street... I end up with a lot of "Basket Case" kits and parts, from cars I have "Fished off the Bay", Donor cars my pals have robbed parts from...Also I kind'a grew up in that era when guys "Swap't" parts from different makes and models, and years...My Older Brother Gary felt it was one "Trade Mark" moves of "Hot Rod'n"...I thought I would run into..."Wheel Base" issues, but this project went together pretty easy.
