I've been wanting to do this since the Phantom Vickie kit came out about 8 years ago. It took a long time to commit to it, but I finally just said I gotta do it. It's the Phantom Vickie body and interior installed on a revell '32 speedwagon frame and running gear. It built in the "newstalgia" style with vintage touches added to modern parts. I modified a pair of Rep and Min of Md lincoln valve covers to fit the revell engine. I also installed a Rep and Min 2 carb intake and Parts By Parks distributor. Upon a suggestion by Jairus, who designed this body concept for AMT, I modified the top to a more Carson style top. The top is actually an old Rep and Min part that was chopped a bit by Rik Hoving to give the AMT execution a better line. I covered the top with masking tape and used evergreen to make the seams. I used cigarette pack foil as a heat shield above the rearend. I like the look, and will be using that idea again. Redlines are Pegasus rub-ons applied to the revell kit tires.

Good job! Was this one a pre-painted kit or a regular one? I picked up one of the painted ones for cheap because it was hot pink. I'm repainting it some colors to better suit my taste. It is nice to see these built (even a kitbashed one  )and not just used for parts. I can't count how many other models I see the wheels and windshield used on! :o

This was based on the regular kit. I've picked up a few of the prepaints just for parts. If you foloow the link you can see inprogress pics of this build. Thanks for looking.

Cool build! The more I look, the more I see. I especially like the Lincoln valve cover top adapted to the 302, and also painting the engine block, etc. white. Interior is outstanding, too!
