Belugawrx Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Thnx Ya, I usually start with tire and wheel combo, so I can set up the stance of the car. And I finally looked at all of my parts box wheels that don't fit anything and decided to start using them, any way I could. Out came the Exacto saw and files and sandpaper.
tyrone Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Looking good so far... I'll be watching this one for sure...

Belugawrx Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 Got some more work done on this Body primed and first coated, no clear yet. Engine close wiring tonight. A bit of work getting the interior tub to fit down onto chassis. Dremel the chassis tunnel top and underside of tub. Front grille with those darn chrome headlights,... White wash, smoke pin wash, clear blue water wash,... then glob of clear,.... close The chassis is molded with underspray pebble.. so, it's undercoated,.. never rust lol. It's amazing how far castings have come in 20 years!! Thnx for looking Comments and criticisms welcome Happy modelling
Belugawrx Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 Thnx Ira Thnx Stan Well... a definite Snow Day here in 'southern'? Ontario! Got some things done on rear end. The leaf springs were flat castings so I needed to build them to look more realistic I used empty tea light candle containers cut to size. I find this gauge of alum. a little more malleable than pop cans. I then cut the shocks from their upper mounts (I'll make up new shocks) and added some rod, hex rod, and brass wire to detail it up. Off to paint
Teddy J. Tannehill Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I like your Camaro...I think that body style is really good looking...I built this kit for a friend he wanted it to look like his car in real life. His car was a R/S. So I used the photo etched grill with hide away head lights from "Model Car Garage." I like what you have done with the grill and head lights...Really nice work.
