If you're not looking to make a specific plate, Google "License Plate Collector." These guys often post images of their plate collections online - nice hi-res images.

Resize in MS Word, print on photo paper and, wah-lah!

I don't know of any too much larger than Acme's 200x99 pixel size but 2 others are slightly larger.

R.T.'s Blank Plates are 250x125. You will have to use a graphics program, or even word, to enter the number as these are blank.

License Plates TV is for ordering custom actual size plates but you can go and make your plate to order and copy it. It is a 350x175 graphic.

I like to use Adobe Illustrator and print onto label paper... then cut, peel and stick :D

Hope that helps.

PS I'm about to send an illustrator file to a local trophy and engraving shop that he'll laser engrave for me. One of the images in the file will be several 1/25 vintage Alabama licence plates.

The laser will remove a small layer of material leaving a slightly raised pattern behind... hopefully looking like the stamped, embossed characters on the plates.

if this works out I'll upload pics :)
