Pocherphile Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Well today is Friday, that day we all pass the rest of the working week wanting to get here! As Fridays go, a normal care free day, work winding done after a hecktic week, time to catch your breath. Trip home from work goes with out a hitch, no road rage today? As I get to my apartment, my wifey says, you have one of those little packages today in the mail.......oh my gosh, is it going to get even better???????? I take the small package to my study.........I already know what is in the package, dang where is that knife to cut the tape! Box is open and inside is two little boxes, one from 1948, the other from 1949. What are these little jewels, why Hudson Miniatures purchased from eBay, Buy Now, no bidding and fighting for these little babys.........opened 1st one, and just as discribed, mint, untouched, unmolested by fat little fingers, complete.........oh happy, happy, joy, joy! Quick inventory, 100% back into box w/military packing, left right left. Opened the 2nd box...........what tha........this box is just a box of woods pieces, painted, pulled apart parts, looks to be maybe parts to 3 differant types of cars, and none of them complete to build said car. I go back and read the sellers discription........mint, complete, un-built ready to add to your collection? Then I noticed that the listing said item was located in FLA, yet when the package it came was looked @, came from TX..........is anything about this deal the truth. Sent a msg. To be continued:
slusher Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I have had a couple ebay buys come from different location then whats under the sellers name...
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 If you paid with PayPal, you're covered under the "buyer protection" program. In well over 1000 ebay transactions, I've so far not lost one cent on any deal that was less than as-described. If you're not familiar with the program, there are complete and user-friendly directions as to how to avail yourself of it. There is a 30 day time limit, I think, to "open a case".
Old Buckaroo Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Could possibly be the one was sent by mistake . Hopefully the other one is still in their possesion.
Erik Smith Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I have had that happen - every time the seller apologized and refunded my money. Hope your situation goes the same way.
Pocherphile Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 Thought I would up-date............individual contacted me and offered to refund the money or send another kit........I opted f/the kit. Mistakes can and do happen, and I was lucky enough to get a honest person who wanted to correct the error. So all's well, that ended well. Rick
