majel Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I have a question for all the drag racing builders out there. I'm doing a Snowman Vega and want to add the parachute connection cords that attach the parachute to the frame (I assume that's where they attach). My questions are: what kind of material do you use for the cord, how do they attach to the chute and frame, and where do they attach on the frame? Thanks guys
Cato Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Contact John Teresi on here. He makes beautiful chute hook-ups and if he wants to he can help you.
W-409 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I wrapped a narrow slice of Tamiya Masking Tape around thin metal wire so that the metal wire comes out from the other "end" of the tape. Then I drilled a little hole on the parachute on a proper place of course, and the metal wire goes through that hole and then the tape looks like it comes out from the parachute. The Remove Before Flight-pin is printed on regular paper and it looks a lot worse on that first picture than it really is.
