Another beautiful model by the Danbury Mint, however I won't be getting one as I tend to favor the cars of the 50's in my die-cast collection. I just love the fins, the chrome, and the two and triple toned paint jobs.

I too received the flyer for the '35 Ford Deluxe Coupe, and if you read it CAREFULLY, it says that it is the final "brand-new" 1:24 scale precision replica. I take it that it means no more "new tooling" and I wouldn't be surprised if the Danbury Mints were re-issued at some time down the road. If not, it's not gonna change my life one bit.

For many years, the typical Danbury model was $109... a few were slightly higher (like the large-scale stuff, of course), but most of their 1/24 scale models were $109-129 or so.

They want $250 for this one! That's quite a price jump, last one or not. At $109 I would have bought it. At $250 it's thanks, but no thanks.

Regardless of its price, this is one beautiful old Ford and I'd love to have one. I don't remember ever seeing this style of Ford wheel done so nicely, certainly not in this scale.

It's a beautiful model, no doubt. Just a bit pricey for me. But quality-wise, you can't beat it.

According to the Danbury Mint website, this model is now sold out. If you wanted one, but sat on the fence, they are selling on eBay, but at steeper prices than Danbury was asking. Two sold for $310, and this one just sold for $339 (with a bloated shipping cost to boot). The prices seem to be going up.

Of course you will see the usual eBay sellers trying to get millions of dollars for them  ....... I scroll right over those listings :D

I don't blame you Harry, as that IS quite a price hike. I would pay that for a particular Danbury Mint that I'm lookin' for, but not the '35 Ford Coupe.

What Danbury models are you looking for Nick?
