hotrod59f100 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 (edited) I'm starting the dodge l-700 from lindberg. I know there is not enough coffee to make this one look good. Every thing is warped bad but I'll do my best. I hope to make it look good and a cab test fit. Edited March 21, 2014 by hotrod59f100
jrherald420 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I just started mine last night. I have never seen a kit that the directions were this bad and they show a part number but the parts trees don't have numbers!! WTF?!?! lol I picked a heck of a kit to make my first Semi build!! I will be watching your build.
jrherald420 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 LOL What were we thinking!! I have got most of the warp out of the frame, im hoping once the axles are mounted it will be good to go.
Jim B Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 It's no understatement that this is a tough little kit. I don't think the molds have been updated since IMC first issued the kit back in 1969. If you think the frame was a pain, just wait until you get to the doors! About the part numbers, IMC had part numbers on the trees "back in the day", but they were removed is subsiquent reissues. The instructions are the original IMC instructions. Have faith, though! It does build out nicely, if a bit "shovel nosed".
hotrod59f100 Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 Wow looks good Jim do you have a pic of the dog house whare it comes down on the truck . I'm not sure if the side flaps are on the inside or outside of the uprights of the frame. I hope that's understandable lol
72 Charger Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 If you meen the inner splash guards they come down on the outside of the chassis . Keep at it all will fit in the end
hotrod59f100 Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 OK thanks mine need to be adjusted then .
