philo426 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I was at my local lHS today and saw a Revell E Type Coupe.is it from the Aurora tooling from the '60s?
Mark Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 In all probability, it is. Aurora offered their XK-E in both coupe and convertible versions, while Revell only offered the convertible. I couldn't see Revell altering the existing convertible to duplicate something they already have...
Matt Bacon Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Not to be a pain, but are you sure it's a coupe? The current RoG box shows the car in black, with a metal factory hardtop, but it's not a fixed-head coupe. It's still the 1/25 kit originally tooled by Revell (GB) back in the early 60s... bestest, M.
robertw Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Revell Germany have it listed on their company webside showing that it is the convertible. I would guess that it is the same kit that was released as the Austin Powers car a number of years ago.
GeeBee Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 It's the same kit as the old Revell U.S kit that's been around for many a year, needs a lot of work but can be made into a nice model, I built it many years ago, sadly a box of built up models got lost in a house move
