Brizio Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 The fact that this was all hand-painted blows my mind. Amazing work; Keep up the excellent work man Thank you Glenn! Brizio Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 Some more progress, I cannot believe that I'm getting close to finish it! The rolling chassis is ready for the body. A little wash on the bottom, I did not wand to make it too dirty. Just little bit.

Tom Geiger Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I'm soooo pleased that the clear went on well. My recent adventures have left me with stuff lifting off under the clear, and a trip to the pond! That is amazing artwork. And, did Janice have a stock black interior? Too bad she didn't have an interior to match the exterior. Still, if Danbury Mint was still doing cars.. they could sell a ton of these!
DynoMight Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 And, did Janice have a stock black interior? Too bad she didn't have an interior to match the exterior. shhhhhh don't tell Brizio!!!

Still, if Danbury Mint was still doing cars.. they could sell a ton of these! I wasn't afraid too much after all about the clear, I used the flat clear on the same color I used on this car, but you never know. Also because was a new rattle can. One time happened to me that same situation, that the clear lifted the paint. That sucks big time... Above all because was a scratch build model car, built using paper... And I couldn't use any liquid for remove the paint, I had to sand it off... I can propose it to Danbury, sending picture of mine when done. Thank you Glen! Wonderful, wonderful work sir. More please! G Thank you G!

There is a 1/1 356 close replica that has fuzzy white seat cover. shhhhhh don't tell Brizio!!! I almost forgot but I told him...
Brizio Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 The soft top is done, I cut the side windows from the windshield and attached on it. Inside is painted in light sand, and made/attached the sunvisor.
DynoMight Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Can't wait til you put this all together! What's the next project? You should try a classic muscle car, just for fun?
Brizio Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 the soft top is well made.... Thank you Henry! The car is done, but I'm thinking to remove the top. It is sunny out... Can't wait til you put this all together! What's the next project? You should try a classic muscle car, just for fun? The car is done, just finished. Maybe, I have some some US that I would like to build... I don't know if you can define them Muscle, but... They are very coool!!!
Brizio Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 The car is finally done!!! Very happy! But now that I look a teh picture, I think it looks better without top...
Brizio Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Some more... And now back to work on the folded top... It never end...
Brizio Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Wow Amazing work. did the antena come with the kit? Thank you Andre! No I made it. I am at a loss for words other than WOW ! Thank you Andy!
Brizio Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 I like the 356 Coupe instead of convertible, and I though that make it with the soft top closed it looks more a Coupe. But now watching the pictures, I think to build a soft top, and leave it open. I need to build it for two reason, one is because The kit I start was a Coupe, and does not have convertible roof. GeeBee was so kind enough to send me the one in the picture. Second because Janis Joplin had in different picture the car with the roof down, and there is no cover on it, so you can see all the folding mechanism. Here I start using to cut on a piece of paper the parts of the roof to make a template and later cut a piece of cloth that simulate better the soft top material.
DynoMight Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Hope the top comes out as good as the car! I think I'm in love with that car
superbike-shaun Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 HOOOOORAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! totally awesome job BRIZ, you are the man to pull this off! great work my friend .Shaun.s
