G'day,I've been busy with my 1:1 projects and haven't been scratching the plastic much in the last 6 months.

And I haven't been visiting the model forums I used to haunt.

Just wondering what became of the Retro Trike contest?

Is there a link to view the builds?

I know it was a while ago,but I would be interested in seeing them.

Cheers,PJ

Hey guys,

I was the only person that posted a picture of my trike so I guess it was dropped for lack of interest. I'd love to see any that may of been built since...

Here's mine (again)!

Dig that trike! I must have joined the board after that contest. I have one I can post.

"TWISTER" Based on the Mail Trike but as in most of my builds, I can't let well enough alone. I cut out a red Maltese cross rear window out of a plastic lid from a hart shaped candy box lid. Did some HOK airbrushing and kit bashed some decals. But what was really fun was the springer front end. This was the first time I worked with brass. I took some square brass rod, put it in a vise, grabbed the other end with a vice grip and started to twist. Took a lot of trial and error and spent material. A fun build. I need to take some better photos.

Thanks, I just shot some photos today and will post shortly. Now the other trike belongs to a friend of mine. I asked him to send some photos so I could post them. I did a search of my hard drive and found a few shots of Joel's trike so I'll post them for now. The green GTX is also a friend build. I will look for photos of that also.

Guys, don't know if you heard or not but I had a major computer hard drive failure

I lost everything!

I do have some backups, but I am concentrating on recreating the December and January issues, which are bloody late now!

The trike photos were part of the loss

I will see what I have in the last backup I did, along with the Chopper photos

I have fixed the errors of my ways, and data loss will no longer be a problem

You can't rely on manual backups, as you know, we are all human, and we do mess up

Computers, they don't mess up!!!!

Yeah, right.....

Jeffbo and Rat Rod:

Thanks for posting those pix....these are great kits and the work each of you did with them just takes them several levels beyond....great pix too!

Thanks again...TIM BOYD

.....And here's the other two, the Tiki Trike and Milk Trike. Plus the gratuitous "Group Shot"!

All of the bikes in this post are WILD and creative, but, I have one BIG problem with many of them. Most would not "work" if built-up to 1/1 size. The problem is in the forks, Many of those pictured couldn't turn around in a school yard let alone turn into your own driveway. Style is of paramount interest but they should be practicle to "some extent".
