ranma Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 This is the Last Corvette that My wife" Akane" (on this forum) had completely done by her self. she went blind about a week after, she did not like the color the car came in nor the wheels it had come with it. She raided a impala police cruiser of its wheels and tires. As most everyone know's on here she went home to the lord on dec .28,2013 so when I found this gem today I decided to post it in her memory.
Dale W. Verts Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Man, that's so cool. The sentiment as well. Dale
randx0 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 That's a nice looking vette for sure . It's great that you were able to share a hobby and that you have pleasant reminders to keep your wife in your and our thoughts .
Chris White Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 My condolences, at least, you have a tangible memory
Greg Cullinan Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Nice looking Vette. The color and the wheels are good choices. Has a mean looking stance too. Stay strong, sorry for your loss.
Captain Obvious Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 That is fantastic, the color and wheels suit it very well. My heart goes out to you, that is one keepsake to treasure forever.
slusher Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 A sharp model. I am glad you posted it. So sorry for your loss Rick. You have a great model to cherish. Thanks for sharing the model and story...
Lovefordgalaxie Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 That is a wonderful thing modeling can do, leave us with tangible memories of people we love, and that are no longer with us. As long as this beautiful Corvette exists, you will have something a lot more positive to remember her than a cold ans sad tombstone. When I go, I would be happy if people remember me by looking at my builds and not by visiting some depressing place. My condolences to you Rick, and take good care of that little gem.
Danno Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Beautiful model, beautiful lady, beautiful memories. Cherish all three forever, Rick. Thanks for sharing this very personal message.
