Rocketman
i put up those pics because that is the same truck before they put the other axle..wich btw is a trailer axle I follow that, but the idea is the same, using a trailer from Galaxie Limited as a start point for the box

Rocketman
That's not a bad idea. You would have plenty of material to work work with and easier to remove excess than to add

DodgeAddict
Thanks a lot guys! I haven't had the pleasure of using anything from the Moebious line of models but if you guys think it'll be what I need to use then I'll order two cause the one Petty hauler I'm building has very much the same pattern too
Rocketman
Here is the Mobius kit http://www.modelcars.com/moebius-53-trailer-with-reefer-option.html Another kit to consider is/are one of the AMT race hauler kits. They come race ready with internal components, have the "low boy" stance and the sides are cut out for the tandems. Three versions that I am aware of, Gallee/Kraco Indycar, Coors NASCAR and Kodak NASCAR. I have all three and can shoot some parts pics if you like. They are not hard to get and at or below the Mobius kits. Here are a pair available from a seller with a excellent reputation http://public.fotki.com/Goodguyinar416/nascar-model-kits/nascar-race-car-haulers.html Edited June 8, 2014 by Rocketman
DodgeAddict
I have 4 of those race car haulers & they have doors on the sides that break the lines up too much I checked out the Moebius kit & I think that's the way to go

jjsipes
Updates? Been thinking about something along these lines as well but, not Ivo truck.
leafsprings
The IVO truck has the same wheels IMC originally put on the box cover of the L 700. The ALF wheels are a good choice on the Dodge.
dragstueck
I build this in 2014. Like the Tommy Ivo Transporter too....
