Best AC Cobra in 1/25 Scale

Tried a Google search to see if anyone compared the AMT to Revell kits or even a review on this website but came up empty. It's possible I didn't go far enough but I'd like to know who makes the best AC Cobra kit in 1/25 scale. Thanks for the help.

try searching 1/24 cobra. not to many in 1/25 scale. i like the monogram /revell 427 cobra. i'm currently building 5 at the same time.

The only AC Cobra in 1/25 that I can think of is the AMT 289 (I guess it could have even been the 260) Cobra from the early '60s. Excellent kit for it's day and holds up well today. The first issue included the stock steering wheel and Halibrand kidney beans where as subsequent releases did not include those.

If it's a 427 you're after, then 1/24 scale is all that you're going to find. The Revell-Monogram was a good kit, as stated, however for some reason fender wells are absent from this kit.

Fujimi did a series of 427 Cobras (in 1/24) but I don't know anything about those.

The Fujimi kit does have fender wells but for everything else I prefer the Revell/Monogram kit. I built the FIA Cobra to the left by combining the 1/25 AMT 289 with body parts from the Academy 1/25 289 which actually has a 427 body.

Do you have any details on that build? Whole body or just fenders, etc? Right there is a big hole in the car model panoply: how can a new mold, modern 289 Cobra (both street and FIA/USRRC) model NOT be a home run for some enterprising model company. AMT's 260 Cobra has to be 50 years old by this point. And lets add a Daytona Coupe to that, shall we?

The blue part of the body is from the Academy kit and the white nose and rear section from the AMT kit

Yea Frank HRM does have an excellent FIA Roadster kit. But I would like to have an FIA car in 1/25 scale to go along with my other AMT Cobra builds.

HRM has a very nice transkit. That's what I used for CSX2142.

Academy allegedly was to produce a Daytona coupe however I have given up hope of it ever coming to light. I have a 1/24 FIA conversion kit from Scale Coachworks that is unfortunately missing one of the ducts. Interesting that it is 1/24 and no one makes a 1/24 small block car to use parts from as I sure as heck am not parting out my Gunze coupe kit!

The Scale Coachworks kit is pretty nice. I believe it is only intended to be a curbside.

The funny thing is Scale Coachworks wanted one to use the R/M kit as a donor however there is enough of difference in the dash layout that it wouldn't look right at least the Cobra fans!
